The Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State Government will from next week commence the enforcement of wearing of face mask in public places.
This was disclosed on Monday by Sanwo-Olu during at the 7th briefing on coronavirus (COVID-19) at the State House, Marina, Lagos.
According to the governor, tailors have been contracted to make one million face mask, which would be distributed to Lagosians this week.
Speaking further, the governor said patients who lie about their travel history will be prosecuted.
He said, “These patients do not only endanger their lives but the lives of our front line medical personnel, we already have some names and they will be prosecuted duly”.
“We would therefore like to appeal to our health workers to raise alarm as soon as they notice anything of sort.”
