This song has the vibe of HYPOCRITE by Demmie Vee and Falz but the effort to distant the familiarity between both works cannot be over written. I noticed that Min Aimoni did justice to the chorus and we should just move passed that already.
THE INSTRUMENTAL
Well, Am i impressed? Truth is i do not know. There is not so much that strikes me as unique while i listen. As a rapper there is always this thing that spikes you to bump your head and then hump on your feet when you hear a beat and you just wanna get on it. But this one is ok and just there. Perfect for the song though notwithstanding. I actually felt the chorus made the song worth listening to instead of the beat making or paving the way for the song just like most Nigerian hiphop songs have been stereotyped to. All together I’d say the beat was just ok and nothing more.
WHAT DO I FEEL WOULD’VE MADE THE SONG BETTER?
Well more melody. Too much rap can get boring if you do not know your way around it. Well that is not how i want to put that sentence considering the dudes on this joint are all lyrically sick. I am trying to say we have to know when rap should be 80% and other condiments share the other 20%. This song would’ve been better if there was space for a solo. Something to compliment the chorus for its versatility.
PRODUCTION WISE?
This song would’ve been a shipwreck if one of the problems involved sound engineering but thank goodness that aspect was well worked on. The mixing is standard and the instrumental wasn’t at all childish aside the fact that i couldn’t really trace or find the creative sound to it.
OVERALL
The song is one of those songs that you’d have to force into people’s life with massive promotion. It’s not self selling. It is just another professional job by professionals, but as soon as it finds its way into the community, there will be nothing to complain about.
