“Is that you?? Josh???” Celine couldn’t believe that the person who had such dark and sinister aura essence was actually her close friend. “How is this possible? This doesn’t feel like the Josh i know. I can’t even sense his will.”
As these thoughts ran through her mind, a group of security guards stepped into the room in response to the alarm set off by Josh’s unnatural aura essence.
“Hold it right there!” Said one of the guards but the figure kept walking towards Celine.
“Wait don’t shoot! Its Josh” Celine ordered, still concerned about her friend.
“I can reach him.” She said.
“No you can’t! He’s become something else! We’ve gotta get outta here fast!” Flynch said to Celine, pulling her shoulder.
“No way! I don’t believe that! Josh’s a fighter I know he’s in there,” Celine said as she shrugged Flynch’s hands off her.
“Miss Butterfield leave that area, I don’t want you getting caught up in a cross fire!” one of the guards said, aiming his laser beam rifle at the figure slowly approaching Celine.
“And I told you to back off!!!” Celine barked.
“This is unreasonable! You can’t reach him.” Flynch appealed to Celine.
But Celine was having none of it. Struggling to her feet she gazed upon the fearsome person who happened to the mild and gentle Josh she’s known for as long as she could remember.
“Josh I know you’re in there ! Fight! Fight it!” Celine said.
Celine didn’t get enough time to say more as the guards opened fire much to her dismay. But something they had never anticipated happened as the laser beams they had shot suddenly vanished in thin air before making any impact.
“What tha hell! Fire again! A guard ordered!” But the result was the same. The laser beams shot vanished. While they were still puzzled and pondering over what had just happened, Josh raised his left arm in their direction and all of a sudden the laser beams they thought vanished into thin air appeared in front of them blasting all the guards in the room.
“My word! He returned their shots to each one of em! Just what power is this!?!” Flynch said, a terrified expression written all over his face.
Seeing what Josh had just done to the guards. Celine quickly took on her fighting stance and increased the manifestation of her own aura essence as she knew things could get messy. “Josh don’t make me fight you! I don’t wanna hurt you!” Her warnings fell on deaf ears as Josh turned towards her without saying a word. The dark aura essence radiating all over him began increasing and whirling all over his body like a mini-cyclone armor. His eyes shone golden!
“Darn it!! Don’t make me…” Celine couldn’t speak any further as Josh had already gotten to her. His speed was so incredibly inhuman she thought he had teleported. Josh grabbed her by the neck and pinned her to the wall.
“Ugh J-Jay,” Celine fought for words. She discovered Dr Flynch was already lying unconscious on the floor.
“J-jay f-fight… It.. Remember me please. Remember who you are.” But she wasn’t getting to him. Josh just stood there with his hand firmly holding fast to her neck. Celine struggled for dear life but she was running out of air now. She could see death coming.
“Is this for real? Am I going to die by the hands of someone I care about? I didn’t tell him. I didn’t even get the chance to tell him how I fff…” Celine reflected as her eyes slowly began to close. She was passing out.
But just as she was about to, a huge rush of aura essence gushed into the room ripping the place apart! A huge muscular man appeared at the laboratory’s entrance.
” Ahh! Awesomely amazing actually! A bloody bastard brutishly battering bothersome battle bred battalion!” He spoke with a deep voice!
Celine knew only one man who had such enormous aura essence aside from the monstrosity being radiated by Josh. And with the way he spoke, she knew it had to be the Captain General Jim Bandwater.
“C-captain General?” Said Celine as she struggled to stay conscious.
“Ay! Bad boy breaking brothers’ bones! Best be brave, because captain’s coming certainly’ll calibrate certain cumbersome casualties definitely dealing death!” the huge muscular man said with a cheeky smile as he approached Josh.
The Captain General was indeed a huge man towering over six feet seven inches and had a very wild, aggressive and intimidating appearance. His aura essence was all over the place. It was clear from the way he allowed his enormous aura essence to manifest itself that he was trying to draw Josh’s attention. And it worked. As Josh suddenly flung Celine across the room and went straight for the Captain General. Moving at an incredible speed Josh swooped in and threw a punch but the Captain dodged it in fine style as he too had quite the pace to keep up. But noticing that the wave from Josh’s punch broke the opposite wall, the Captain realized it was rather best not to get hit after all!
“Darned daft dastardly dangerous deceitful diddler!” Said the Captain as he slided across the room realizing how close he was to getting knocked out. “Che! Critical condition continuously climbing calamitous calibrations! Damn delightful! Extremely exciting!” The Captain said with a cheeky smile.
He immediately increased the manifestation of his aura essence even further, deciding it was best not to give Josh time to react. He quickly charged towards Josh but just as he got close Josh suddenly vanished.
“Shit!!!” Exclaimed the Captain as he realized Josh was positioned at his blind spot. But the Captain reflexes were spot on as he quickly fended off Josh’s punch with his left hand and immediately ceased the moment to counter. Concentrating a huge amount of his aura essence on his fist, he aimed straight for Josh’s stomach.
“Fucking fury fist!!!” The Captain General roared as he violently bashed his fist into Josh’s gut. But to his sheer stupefaction his punch had little or no impact at all on Josh.
“Whata wonderfully worrisome wonderment!” Captain Jim said in astonishment.
“Jim! What’s going on?” Said Rebecca running into the laboratory to find it ravaged and destroyed.
“Rebecca respectfully retreat!” Jim said to her. But when Rebecca felt the weird aura radiating from Josh. She knew she wasn’t going nowhere.
“Why are you two fighting? What’s wrong with Josh? Where’s Celine?”
“Celine’s critically crippled” the Captain General said pointing to Celine who laid unconscious on the floor.
“Ooohh! Arrgghh!!!” Was the sudden scream heard! As Josh began shouting in pain! His eye balls which had a golden luster was now dark purple. Sensing what appeared to be a potential threat, Jim quickly moved to where Rebecca and Celine were, providing them cover.
“Jim what’s going on?” Rebecca asked agitatedly.
“Can’t currently construct carefully construed consideration.” Replied The captain General.
Josh turned his attention towards them. But just when it seemed like he was about to act he suddenly slumped, collapsing on the floor.
“Jim what da hell just happened? And please try to speak in a way I can understand” Rebecca gave The Captain a stern look.
“Why? what’s wrong with warily widely webbed wordage?” Jim asked irritatedly.
“You’re doing it again jeeez!!” Exclaimed Rebecca who was already getting pissed off.
“Josh, Josh..” Celine said softly as she slowly regained consciousness.
“Celine mi love! Are you alright?” Said Rebecca.
“Josh, where’s he?” Asked Celine.
“He just suddenly collapsed” Rebecca answered.
“What! Collapsed? What happened?” Celine struggled to her feet.
“Easy Celine you shouldn’t push yourself too hard,” Rebecca admonished.
Jim walked up to Dr Flynch and woke him up. “Captain General? Oh my aching head!” Flynch said rubbing his head.
“Dr Flynch please help Josh!” Rebecca beckoned.
“What da…..! Captain Bandwater was that your doing?” Flynch asked as he noticed Josh lying unconscious on the floor.
“Indeed, I inspired it,” The captain replied.
“Hurry! Let’s take him to the Red Room!” Flynch said.
Lifting Josh up, the Captain General moved towards the west side of the laboratory.
“Computer! Activate red room protocols” Flynch utter. And the wall on the west side of the laboratory suddenly slid open, revealing a secret laboratory decorated with Red lights. The Captain General placed Josh in a buffer chamber on Flynch’s instruction.
“I’m gon have to run some test” Flynch informed the others in the room.
“Uh will he really be okay? Is it safe?” Celine asked.
“Trust me, this is a special buffer chamber. He’s in good hands. He’ll be fine,” Flynch assured Celine.
“Honey you need medical attention yourself!” Voiced Rebecca.
“Nah I’ll be fine Captain Becks,” Celine replied.
As they waited patiently while Flynch carried out certain tests and diagnosis, Celine paused to ponder over what had just happened a moment ago. She had seen another side of Josh she’s never imagined. And more importantly the fact that she couldn’t get to him weighed on her deeply.
“What’s happened to you Josh?” Celine mused.
“Oh God!” Flynch exclaimed catching the attention of everyone in the room.
“What? What did you find out?” Celine inquired.
But Flynch responded with silence as he just stood still, with eyes glued to his super quantum computer screen.
“I.. I.. Oh lord” Flynch gaped.
“What’s wrong doc?” Rebecca asked. “It’s Josh! He.. He.. I know what’s behind the strange aura essence he was radiating a while ago!” Said Flynch.
“Then tell,” Jim said to the Doctor.
“He has the Dark matter implanted deep inside him” Flynch said.
“What’s Dark matter? I don’t get.” Rebecca asked, a little confused.
“Deep inside of Him, there exists a particular kind of inexhaustible energy known as the dark matter.” Flynch replied.
“So how’s that bad? Get to point Doc!” Celine said impatiently.
“You don’t understand. This Particular energy is as old as the universe itself. It’s pure and an extremely vile energy. It is impossible to wield.” Flynch told Celine.
“So you mean if we don’t find a way to remove it from Josh, it’ll destroy him?” Celine inquired, wearing a troubled expression .
“That’s exactly my point Miss Butterfield, only that this energy is impossible to remove. It’s already become part of Josh’s essence,” Flynch affirmed.
“Oh dear! Josh mi lad.”
The danger looming over Josh’s current state is alarming. But the question that ran through everyone’s mind in the room was “how could this have possibly happened!?!”
