The Nigeria Police Force has spoken on the claim that the commission has commenced screening for applicants who applied for recruitment.
The commission stated that it is yet to start the screening of applicants who applied for recruitment into the force.
315,032 applications were received by the commission at the end of application date, and the advert that was placed forward was for 10,000 vacancies.
President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the recruitment of police in an effort to strengthen the force.
The development was revealed in a statement released by the commission’s Head, Press and Public Relations, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, in Abuja on Monday.
He stated that the commission was surprised that some applicants are calling on state commands for screening.
“The commission will soon notify shortlisted applicants of a date for the commencement of the exercise. Applicants are hereby advised to ignore any statement on this as it did not originate from the commission,” he said.
