Who is Zac Farro?
Zac Farro fully known as Zachary Wayne Farro is a famous American musician, popular as the drummer for the rock band Paramore. Zac is the younger brother of Josh Farro, who is Paramore’s former lead guitarist and backing vocalist. Following him and his brother exiting Paramore in 2010, Josh formed a band called Nove, American, which Zac was also part of, He is currently the sole member of the band HalfNoise, and later in February 2017, rejoined Paramore.

Paramore (2004-2010, 2017-present)
Zac was a founding member of Paramore, created in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004 at the age of 14. The lineup consisted of Hayley Williams (lead vocals/keyboards), Farro (drums), his older brother Josh Farro (lead guitar and backing vocals), and Jeremy Davis (bass guitar). Jeremy admitted he was originally not sure if the band could e taken seriously due to Zac’s young age until he saw him play. The band then launched three studio albums, All We Know Is Falling, Riot!, and Brand New Eyes, together with two live albums and one EP, Brand New Eyes, their third album, launched on September 29, 2009. The band welcomed Taylor York (rhythm guitar) in June 2009, a long-time friend of the Farros’ and who previously played with them as a touring member.
2010 to present
The band’s website later revealed the Farros’ amicable exit on December 18, 2010. Josh Farro then released an official exit statement for himself and his brother, refuting the band’s previous story on December 21, 2010. Paramore then posted a short video of themselves, with Farro, in a studio to their social media on June 8, 2016. This was followed by a number of images which consisted of both Farro and the producer of the upcoming Paramore album Justin Meldal-Johnsen, leading fans and various media outlets to speculate about the return of Zac.
Farro later confirmed that he was only recording drums for the album and that he had not rejoined the band as a full member. In a podcast for Billboard on August 12, Zac commented that the most important thing to him was to reignite his friendship with the band and that being in the studio together ”felt like [Farro and Paramore] haven’t skipped a beat. Despite originally mentioning that he was only taking part in the recording of their fifth album, it was confirmed that he was back as the official drummer in the band on February 2, 2017. Zac has also performed the tracks, ‘Scooby in the Back’, ‘French Class’, and ‘All That Love Is’ by his band HalfNoise at several Paramore gigs with Williams doing backup vocals.
HalfNoise (2010-present)
Two days following his exit from Paramore, Farro participated in a new project band called ”Tunnel”, launching a new track titled ”Hide Your Eyes”. The pair then renamed themselves ”HalfNoise” because of other bands being named ”Tunnel”. The band featured Zac Farro (drums, vocals) and Jason Clark (guitar, vocals). They launched their first song Mountain on May 29, 2014. Zac then announced an album, Volcano Crowe, launched on September 30, 2014. HalfNoise then released the track ”Know The Feeling” on June 9, 2016, and later launched a music video for the track on June 23, 2016, directed by Aaron Joseph.
Novel American (2011-2014)
Josh Farro started the band Novel American with former Cecil Adora members Van Beasley, Tyler Ward, and Ryan Clark shortly following his exit from Paramore. The group revealed plans to record an EP and also play local venues in the coming future. The band then announced on February 22, 2011, that Zac Farro would take the place of Tyler Ward on drums. However, Novel American was scrapped due to the fact that the band could not find a suitable lead vocalist on May 23, 2014.
